Tonya Knight Death – Tonya Knight, an American professional female bodybuilder has passed away, according to reports. Tonya Knight died after battling cancer. She was announced dead today, Tuesday, the 7th of February 2023 by Evolution of Bodybuilding. Tonya was a stunning woman and an incredible bodybuilder in her day. Tonya Knight has cemented her place in history as one of the greatest champions in both the sport of figure skating and in life.

Tonya Knight’s personal life
Tonya Knight was born in 1966 in Peculiar, Missouri. She lived in Overland Park, Kansas. She was married to the late bodybuilder John Poteat, but they divorced. She has 3 brothers named Timothy, Todd and Travis and a few other step and in-law siblings, and a son named Malachi.

Tonya admitted to sending a surrogate to take a mandatory drug test administered before the 1988 Ms Olympia, where she finished fourth after IFBB officials presented strong evidence that she obtained test-passing urine from someone other than herself. In a November 1989 ruling, she was suspended, stripped of her 1989 Ms International title (which went to runner-up Jackie Paisley), and ordered to return her $12,000 prize money from the 1989 Ms International and 1988 Ms Olympia.
Following the scandal, she triumphantly returned to the stage in 1991, winning the Ms International title without incident. She only competed in two more professional contests, the last of which was in 1993. Tonya was a regular on American Gladiators as Gold from 1989 to 1992, until she left due to a left knee injury.
