The event occurred about 2:45 on Sunday morning, and it was all caught on the store’s surveillance cameras. The store owner, identified as Craig Cope, 80, fired his shotgun at the armed robber in self-defense. The suspect was struck in the arm and fled with four additional suspects.
Justin Johnson, 22, of Inglewood, Jamar Williams, 27, of Los Angeles, and Davon Broadus, 24, of Las Vegas were identified as the males. The Norco convenience store owner who shot an armed robber and subsequently suffered a heart attack as a result of the ordeal.
According to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, one of the guys “was suffering from a gunshot wound consistent with a shotgun discharge.” The 23-year-old remains in critical but stable condition at the hospital and will be placed into jail after being released, according to officials. The suspect’s claimed stolen vehicle was also discovered at the hospital. Authorities discovered multiple stolen guns inside the dark-colored BMW SUV.
Three suspects were apprehended in the hospital parking lot and charged with robbery and conspiracy. They are being held on bail of $500,000 each. The main suspect, a 23-year-old man, is still hospitalized and is listed in critical but stable condition. His identity has not yet been made public. When he is discharged from the hospital, he will be registered into a Riverside County jail, according to the officials.

Police on the Grand Strand are seeking for the public’s assistance in identifying a person of interest in an armed robbery. According to the North Myrtle Beach Police Department, the incident occurred Thursday at The Home Depot on Highway 17 North. Several other images of the person, as well as a white van believed to be connected, were also released on social media by officials.
