Alex Maslansky Death – Co-owner of a popular bookstore in Los Angeles has passed away. Alex Maslansky, an alumnus of The Evergreen State College died on Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2023, after a brief illness. After Alex Maslansky was announced dead, many of his esteemed customers have taken to their social media to share their most memorable moments of him. Alex Maslansky has been described by some of his friends as a wit for eons and an energetic human.
One of his friends wrote; ” I am hearing Alex Maslansky, co-owner of Stories Books and Cafe, passed away in the last couple of days. I didn’t see him that often, but I considered him a friend and cannot imagine never seeing him again. He was always supportive of my writing, actually lobbying, circa 2015, to get a so-called legit publisher (that will remain nameless) to get an omnibus of two or three of my ‘crime’ novels out to a wider audience (which never bore fruit).”
Alex Maslansky was born in Los Angeles, California. He had his college degree from Evergreen State College. Maslansky lived most of his life here in Los Angeles, California. After school, following his love for books, most especially punk books, he became a co-owner of the popular bookstore called Stories Books and Cafe. The famous bookstore is located in the area of 1716 Sunset Blvd, Los Angeles, CA. “Stories Books & Cafe is absolutely one of my favorite spaces in Los Angeles. So saddened by the news of co-owner Alex Maslansky passing recently. I bought many punk rock books there.”
The family or friends of Alex Maslansky did not immediately disclose his cause of death. What we know is that he was an illness, and spent a few days at the hospital following an undisclosed health condition. “Your presence was calming, you helped me out of very emotionally upsetting times. I confided in you during my toughest break-up; and you picked me up in your rusty Cadillac at midnight smoking cigarettes to let me sleep at your house,” a friend said.
