A head-on crash in Cache County left a 23-year-old woman with fatal injuries. The accident happened around 2 p.m. Friday on state Route 30, near milepost 101. The Utah Highway Patrol said in a news release that a silver Ford Fiesta was going west on SR-30 when it lost control and slid into the lanes of traffic going east. Then, a white GMC Sierra truck hit the car straight on.
Emily Fisher, 23, from South Jordan, Utah, was driving the Ford. She was taken to a nearby hospital, where she later died from her injuries. Troopers said that the driver of the GMC was taken to the hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening, but the other two passengers were not hurt.
