Yuba County Fire, Calif. — According to a Yuba County tweet on Friday, July 8, 2022, North of Marysville Road and south of Loma Rica Road received an evacuation alert while Marysville Road and Bayberry Lane, evacuation orders have been issued.
Authorities issued evacuation orders for zones LOM-E085 and LOM-E088, which are located east of Loma Rica and north of Marysville Road, as the fire started to grow. A number of neighboring zones, including southeast Loma Rica, received advisories as well as warnings, including zone LOM-E087.
The evacuation has been issued after a fire called BayFire has been reported in the Loma Rica area of Yuba County. Forward progress stopped at 26 acres, Yuba County announced in a tweet.
For current evac orders and warning zones, there is an Evac Shelter at Sycamore Ranch campground, where Yuba County Care and Sheltering Team is preparing to assist. They also added that “Anyone evacuating livestock can go to Yuba County Sheriff Posse Arena, 5396 Marysville Rd in Browns Valley.”
According to Yuba County tweet, closures are in place for the following roads:
- Scott Grant & Marysville Road
- Dawn Drive
- Dolan Harding and Marysville Road
- Fruitland Road
