Death: Co-Founder, Co-Chairman, and CEO of SatixFy Communications Has Died – Yoel Gat, Co-Founder, Co-Chairman, and CEO of SatixFy Communications Ltd. (“SatixFy”), a leader in next-generation satellite communication systems based on in-house built chipsets, passed away on April 8, 2022.
On behalf of himself and SatixFy’s Board, Yoav Leibovitch, Co-Founder, Co-Chairman, and Chief Financial Officer, made the following statement: “We are very devastated by Yoel’s death. He was a brilliant visionary and the driving factor behind SatixFy’s current success. Yoel and I have been working together for almost a year now.
According to businesswire.com, Mr. Leibovitch has been named Interim CEO and will temporarily take up Mr. Gat’s leadership responsibilities while continuing to serve as CFO. SatixFy had earlier stated that it had appointed a new CEO, who will start on June 26, 2022, after a transition period that began in the fall of 2021. SatixFy plans to reveal the new CEO’s name in the coming weeks, as soon as he is free from his current duties.
SatixFy stated on March 8, 2022, that it had reached a deal to merge with Endurance Acquisition Corp. (NASDAQ: EDNC), a publicly listed special purpose acquisition company founded by an affiliate of Antarctica Capital, an international private equity firm.
