Xavier Killingsworth Death – The Arlington Police Department was called to the 5400 block of South Cooper Street on Sunday, April 2, 2023, at about 2:15 in the morning in response to a collision involving three vehicles. It is believed that a collision between a 2013 Cadillac CTS and a 2018 Mercedes-Benz E-Class that was occurring along Cooper Street in a northbound direction led to the driver of the Cadillac losing control of his vehicle, crossing the center median, and colliding with a 2004 Ford Excursion that was moving in the opposite direction along Cooper Street.
The driver of the Cadillac was taken to a nearby hospital, where it was determined that he had succumbed to his injuries and died. He was conveyed there. According to the findings of the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office, he was Xavier Killingsworth, a resident of Fort Worth who was 29 years old. The driver of the Excursion was taken to the hospital for treatment of injuries that were not considered to be life-threatening. The individual behind the wheel of the Mercedes did not sustain any life-threatening injuries.
The investigators have not ruled out the possibility that alcohol or speed had a role in the incident based on the evidence that was retrieved at the site and the testimonies made by witnesses. The investigation is still going on at this time.
