Woman dies after south Tulsa QuikTrip shooting – Tulsa police are investigating after a woman was found dead with an apparent gunshot wound outside of a south Tulsa QuikTrip Thursday night. The shooting occurred around 10:30 p.m. near East 61st Street and U.S. Highway 169. Officers were called to the scene for a shooting report. Upon arrival, officers found the victim unresponsive outside of the QuikTrip. The woman was pronounced dead at the scene of the incident. Authorities are yet to confirm the motive behind the shooting. Lieutenant Matt Snow of the Tulsa Police Department stated “We do know that the victim was connected to the persons of interest in this case to a certain degree.” According to report, police detained two persons of interest in for questioning.
The police examined the surveillance footage from the convenience shop, which they said provided them with information about a suspect, and they discovered an automobile that was connected to the incident. The identify of the person who was killed has not been made public by the police as of yet. Tulsa police are investigating to determine the circumstances surrounding this shooting. Police officers are investigating after one woman was killed and another injured in a shooting on the city’s northeast side Saturday evening. The deceased was identified as 88-year-old Velma Walker. The shooting happened in the 3200 block of NE 14th Pl. just before 9 p.m. Saturday. The Oklahoma City Police Department is still looking for the suspect(s) responsible for the shooting death of Walker. Officers responded to the scene after they received call to check the welfare of a person. Upon arrival, they found Walker deceased from gunfire on the front porch of the home.
