Woman, 77, died of injuries sustained in car accident while crossing a Street in Lakeside

According to the California Highway Patrol, a 77-year-old woman has tragically died after being struck by a car while crossing a street in Lakeside around 6:45 a.m. Thursday, 17th of February, 2022.

The 77-year-old woman whose name has not been released yet was reportedly struck by a Honda Accord driven by a 37-year-old male who was going north on Pino Drive at Lindo Lane, near the Lindo Park Elementary School.

At the time of the accident, a child was in the vehicle. Her age was not disclosed by the CHP.

The woman was taken to Sharp Memorial Hospital where she was pronounced dead after she succumbed to severe injuries. The motorist and his child passenger were unharmed and remained at the accident scene.
