The news of his death was announced by Medford Township Police Department on Facebook in a publication that says “Chief Arthur Waterman and the Medford Township Police Department announce with deep regret and profound sadness the sudden passing of Sgt. William Webb on March 1, 2023”.

He attended Gloucester Catholic High School between 1991 to1994. Webb spent twenty-two years being of service to the people that lived in Medford Township. Throughout his career, Bill was an exemplary worker who made a positive impact on the lives of a great number of people.
The most important thing is that he inspired many people with his dedication to the organization and his long friendship. During the course of his career, Sgt. Webb served his community in a variety of specialized units, including the Criminal Investigative Bureau, the Firearms Unit Instructor, the School Resource Officer, the Bike Unit, the Field Training Officer, the Traffic Safety Unit as a certified Crash Reconstructionist and Motorcycle Operator, and the Field Training Officer.

His service to multiple communities spans over two decades in a variety of roles and multiple counties in south jersey in the police and fire professions. He has attained the rank of Deputy Fire Chief in Medford Township, in addition to being a decorated Sergeant with the Medford Township Police Department. His career in the police and fire professions began in the early 1990s. He was the head of the Medford Lakes Fire Department and the Medford Fire & EMS.
Deputy Chief Webb was an inspirational leader and a guiding light for everyone in our organization. His resume was littered with accolades and trophies. His dedication to the community was not confined to his work with the Fire Department. He will be deeply missed by all.
