William Stocksdale Death – A student at Georgetown University has died. The student died by “apparent suicide,” according to an online report Thursday, the 6th of April 2023. The student has been identified as William Stocksdale, a resident of Towson, Maryland and a Loyola Blakefield graduate. The school district and authorities are yet to officially release information regarding the sad incident.

Although few details surrounding the incident have been released. Sharing Sad News

With a heavy heart, we write to share the very sad news that William Stocksdale (SFS’25) has passed away. We are supporting Will’s family in this tragic time and reaching out to members of the Georgetown community who lived, worked and studied alongside him.

Who was William Stocksdale?

William Stocksdale also known to many as “Will Stocksdale” was born and raised in Towson, Maryland. He graduated from Loyola Blakefield and was currently studying at Georgetown University before his passing. William Stocksdale ’21 was named the recipient of the 19th Annual Daniel W. McNeal ’90 Scholarship Award during the Loyola Blakefield Mass of the Holy Spirit on Friday.

He was a perfect example of what it means to be a wonderful person. William had a calming presence and was extremely kind, he touched the hearts of so many and was an inspiration to everyone who knew him. He had a funny and unique personality and was never afraid to show it and his friends loved that about him. William was described by his friends as someone always ready for a laugh.

About Loyola Blakefield

Loyola Blakefield is a private Catholic, college preparatory school run by the USA East Province of the Society of Jesus in Towson, Maryland and within the Archdiocese of Baltimore. It was established in 1852 by the Jesuits as an all-boys school for students from Baltimore, Baltimore County, Harford County, Carroll County, Howard County, Anne Arundel County, and Southern Pennsylvania.

It enrols over 900 students in grades six through twelve. The school was originally called Loyola High School when it was established in 1852. The name change occurred when it added a middle school.

William Stocksdale obituary and funeral arrangements will be announced at a later date by the family.
