William Plunkett Death – William Plunkett has sadly passed away at the age of 82. He was confirmed dead on Monday, the 17th of April 2023. The news of his death has left a massive shockwave around the world leaving many heartbroken and devastated. He was announced dead through a social media post by Archbishop Stepinac High School – “…We pray for the repose of his soul and for God’s mercy and care for his family and loved ones during this time of grief.”
Who was William Plunkett?
William Plunkett was a member of Stepinac Hall of Fame ’95 and the inaugural Chairman of Stepinac’s Board of Trustee. He was a student of Stepinac also being an outstanding athlete. He was involved in a variety of other school activities. he was happily married to his loving wife, Caryl who died before him in 2015. Together, they had six children.
He attended the College of the Holy Cross and New York University Law School after he graduated. Bill served as an attorney and founding partner and president of Plunkett & Jaffe PC. Bill was honored by many organizations including the National Conference of Christians and Jews and was a recipient of the Ellis Island Medal of Honor during the course of his life.
