Eric Curran made a post on Facebook: “The world lost a great guy and a one of a kind this week.
A guy that truly lived his life to the fullest in the way people only dream of.
A guy that people loved or didn’t.
A guy that did exactly what he wanted at all times and didn’t care so much if you didn’t like him or his opinions.
“As odd and crazy as William Hubbell was he and I became close friends for many years. We raced as teammates, we won as teammates, we traveled the world, made amazing memories and laughed a million times as he did whatever the hell he wanted to. William made lots of friends and sure left an impression. People spoke good and bad about him but what he loved most was everyone talked about him, his bubbles and his bigger than life personality.
“At the end of the day he was caring, generous and a great father to his son.
I’ll miss you buddy and we will all miss you. I feel very fortunate to have been a big part of your life and racing career.
The world will make sure to live your memories and take good care of William Jr.”
