Walter Coblenz Death, Obituary not available – Walter Coblenz, 93, the Academy Award-nominated producer of “All the President’s Men” and the Emmy-nominated limited series “The Blue Knight,” has passed away.

Coblenz, who worked for Tristar Pictures and Carolco Pictures as a senior vice president, managed projects like “Terminator 2: Judgment Day,” “The Natural,” “Places in the Heart,” and others. “The Candidate,” “The Onion Field,” “Money Talks,” “The Legend of the Lone Ranger,” and “Her Majesty” are among his other significant credits.

According to, Coblenz began his career in Hollywood as a stage manager for “The Jerry Lewis Show” and “The Hollywood Palace,” later working as an assistant director on the series “Daktari” and the sports drama “Downhill Racer,” starring Robert Redford and Gene Hackman. He worked with Redford again on “All the President’s Men,” which received eight Academy Award nominations and won four of them, as well as “The Candidate,” his debut picture.

Rita and his brother John R. F. Coblenz preceded him in death. Martin Coblenz, Helen Iacabucci, and John Coblenz are his children, and Evan, Danielle, Jordan, and Anthony are his grandchildren.
