Vincent Craig Death – Vincent Craig has passed away suddenly. He was confirmed dead on Friday, September 8, 2023, according to reports. He died leaving his family, friends and loved ones scarred after learning of his death. Throughout his life, he was an inspiration to many who had the privilege of learning music under his tutorship. Without any doubt, he will always be missed by all those who knew him during the course of his life.

Dr. Craig was such a modest and grounded individual who was taken from this world far too soon after his time here had come to an end. Thoughts and prayers are with his family, friends, and the Wells School of Music community during this time. Over the course of thirty years, Vincent was the accompanist for the Maryland State Boychoir, and he also served as the assistant conductor for one year.

Who was Vincent Craig?

Vincent Craig was  a Professor of Piano at West Chester University. He studied at Oberlin College. He Studied at Oberlin College Conservatory of Music. He attended Guardia High School where he studied Performance – Piano at Johns Hopkins University. She studied Performance – Piano at Oberlin College. She was a resident of Rosemont, Pennsylvania. He was a native of Staten Island, New York where  spent a good chunk of his early life.

Not only was he an incredible pianist, but he was also a superb organist. In addition to being a devoted husband and father, he served as the music director at Mainline Unitarian Church, as a lecturer at Westchester University, as an accompanist for the Maryland State Boychoir, a concert soloist, and a collaborative pianist. He also played the piano in collaborative performances. His musicianship, technique, and listening abilities were all top-notch, but it was his quick wit, hilarious sense of humor, and loving personality that always brought out the best in the individuals who were around him.
