Vehicle engulfed in mud near Phoenix’s Desert Sky Mall: Four people suffered injuries in a Wednesday morning accident that saw a car sink in the soil near Desert Sky Mall in west Phoenix. On May 8, at about seven thirty in the morning, the incident happened near Virginia and 75th Avenues.
Phoenix Fire reports that three people in the crash had only minor injuries. A fourth suffered serious injuries.
Two vehicles were observed over the site on SkyFOX video, one with serious front-end damage and the other buried in the mud. Phoenix Fire said, “Water services was contacted to help mitigate the flooding after it appears a vehicle struck a fire hydrant.” Phoenix Police is looking into the reason of the crash.
