Diane Death – A 59-year-old woman died and a man was injured following a west suburban car accident that happened early Friday morning, police said. The deceased victim has been identified as Diane. According to reports, Diane, the mother of Vanessa Wokurka-Sabia passed away from injuries sustained in the crash. The two-vehicle crash happened in Bensenville at York and Irving Park roads at about 3:37 a.m. Police and fire officials responded to the scene.
Police said that Diane was pronounced dead at the scene, and a 23-year-old man from Chicago was taken to a nearby hospital. Officials didn’t say anything right away about his status. At about 7:30 a.m., Chopper 7HD flew over the scene, where various crews had been investigating for hours. Officials temporarily closed the crossing, which caused a lot of traffic on Irving Park Road going east. Police did not immediately provide further information about the crash.

On Monday afternoon, a two-vehicle accident that occurred on Interstate 294 near Bensenville resulted in the death of a man from Romeoville. According to the Illinois State Police, Scott A. McGuire, 61, was travelling south on Interstate 294 when he suddenly turned to the right at approximately 1:20 p.m. and struck construction obstacles. McGuire’s 2014 Chevrolet Equinox was thrown around by the intensity of the accident, and he was unable to control it.
After that, a head-on collision with a 2005 Dodge Ram 2500 occurred. At the site, McGuire’s death was confirmed by medical personnel. Daniel I. Moore, 35 years old and from Bellwood, was the driver of the other vehicle and was transported to the hospital. His condition could not be determined. According to the police, Moore was issued a citation for driving with a suspended license and failing to moderate his speed to avoid a collision.
Bensenville is a village located near O’Hare International Airport in DuPage County, Illinois, with a portion of the town in Cook County. As of the 2020 census, the village population was 18,813. First known as Tioga, it was formally established as Bensenville in 1873 along the Milwaukee Road right-of-way.
