US 27 Accident Today – Broward-Palm Beach Accident
Nothing less than 9 people have been injured in a ghastly motor-vehicle accident that happened on U.S. Route 27. The injured persons are 7 children and 2 adults. The motor-vehicle accident reportedly involved two vehicles.
A tractor trailer and a dark-colored sedan, collided into each other on mile marker 47. The sad incident happened just after 4 p.m., Tuesday, near Palm Beach County line, shutting U.S. 27 down in either directions. The southbound lanes had reopened and those travelling northbound were getting by on the shoulder.

According to report most of the children are believed to be 16 years old and younger. A 7-year-old was seen being administered CPR by rescuers on the scene.
Just before 3 p.m. on Tuesday, one Broward Sheriff Air Rescue aircraft was dispatched to the area. Five people were airlifted to hospitals in all. With a trauma alert, one child was flown to Broward General Hospital.
Two West Palm Beach Trauma Hawk helicopters also arrived. A total of four children were transported, two in each Trauma Hawk.
The majority of the rescue efforts were concentrated on the car, which had its rear passenger area totally ripped open. The tractor trailer had moved so far down the road that 7Skyforce was unable to shoot it in the same frame as the sedan.
