According to the Fairfax County Police authorities, it was reported that during a group fight some bullets were fired at the Tysons Corner Center. On Saturday afternoon the Tysons Corner Center was evacuated by the law enforcement agent. It was also reported that there was no casualties at the time of this report. According to so many tweets that surface on twitter, several shots was heard at the mall just before 3 p.m., and some family members of two employees in the mall texted that they were hiding inside the mall establishments. According to a video that surfaced online, different people where seen rushing out of the mall and running into parking garages. According to wusa9.com.
According to a tweet by the Fairfax County Police Department tweeted at about 3:20 p.m., on Saturday afternoon, states that Fairfax County Police officers were on the scene after several reports of gunshot fired inside the mall following a disagreement “between a small group.” According to the tweet, it was stated that it was one shooter, and the police authorities claimed that the mall has been cleared. According to the Fairfax County Police Department, their officers are clearing the entire mall to ensure that no suspects are still present there and supporting people who are hiding in place.

The authorities announced that if anyone or any of the employee is still hiding in place, that they should stay put, until officers are sent to come and rescue them. In addition to the statement of the Fairfax County Police Department, it stated that the mall is currently closed as they work hard to clear the scene before the reopen of the mall. The Police authorities ask the general public to stay away from the mall, and avoid that area until investigations are completed. At the time of this report there was no record of casualties. The authorities has not been able to identity the suspected group, or the reason for the disagreement among the groups.
