Tyler Nauta Death – Fitchburg Farms vice president and co-founder Tyler Nauta has passed away unexpectedly. Tyler Jacob Michael Nauta, a resident of Oregon was announced dead on Monday, the 3rd of April 2023. He died at the young age of 26 at UW Hospital. The circumstances surrounding the cause of Tyler Nauta’s death have not been made known to the public. Thoughts and prayers are with his friends, the Nauta family and his community during this difficult time.
Fitchburg Farms released a statement regarding the passing of their beloved co-founder and vice president:
“Words can’t express the loss that the Farm has been feeling these last few days. It is with a heavy heart that we share the unexpected passing of Tyler Jacob Michael Nauta. Tyler and his father broke ground on Fitchburg Farms over ten years ago. As a high school student, he helped lay the foundation for our world-class mums and later grew into Vice President of the Farm. Tyler’s contributions to our business and the community will not be forgotten.”

He was born on November 11, 1996, in St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada, the son of Michael and Jennifer (Porterfield) Nauta. Tyler graduated from Abundant Life Christian School in 2014 and went to both Madison College and UW-Whitewater. He was a driver for Kaiser Logistics, Inc. at the time.
Before he joined Kaiser Logistics, he helped start and ran Fitchburg Farms as vice president. Tyler liked to play golf, fish, and go camping. He enjoyed driving fast cars, going out on boats with his friends, and playing video games. Tyler was also interested in history and liked to keep an eye on the stock market.
Survived and preceded in death by
Tyler is survived by his father, Mike (Lynn Daguanno) Nauta; mother, Jen Nauta; sister, Flynn Jasmine Nauta; paternal grandparents, Case and Gaye Nauta; and maternal grandparents, Philip and Renee Porterfield. He is further survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his uncle, Tom Porterfield; and cousin, Braden Nauta.

A memorial service will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, at 3 p.m. on Friday, April 7, 2023. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 1 p.m. until the time of the service on Friday.
