Tyler Moening death – Minnesota man 39, dies in a motorcycle accident

Dalzell man, 55, critically injured after industrial accident in Peru

An online fundraising drive for the family of a Minnesota man Tyler Moening, 39, of Savage, who died in Mexico on Super Bowl Sunday has raised nearly $95,000. Report says Moening was killed in a bike accident on Sunday, February 13, 2021, while vacationing in Riviera Maya, a stretch of Caribbean coastline on Mexico’s northeastern Yucatán Peninsula, with his wife and two young daughters.

According to material posted on the family’s GoFundMe website, “when riding his bike late at night, he hit a curb, and he and the bike slid down a rather steep place, where he banged his head on a rock.” “We closed the case because we don’t believe there was any foul play in his tragic death.”

By Monday afternoon, the GoFundMe effort to support Moening’s family had received roughly $94,500, just shy of the $100,000 goal, a “outpouring of love (that) is confirmation of how loved Tyler was,” according to an update on the site.

A memorial service for Moening will be held at the Bluewater Lodge in Walker on Saturday at 3 p.m.
