Ty Wallis

Talented Pilot, Veterinarian Lost in Helicopter Crash – Ty Wallis, 42, was one of two people killed in a helicopter crash in Rowlett on Sunday, according to his relatives. Wallis was a student pilot flying a Robinson R-44 model helicopter when it crashed into numerous pieces Friday afternoon, according to witnesses.

“Ty died doing something he truly loved and that was aviation,” Chance said. ”She (Kristen) believes that Ty’s death was his time and God’s time. And his day was Friday.”

According to nbcdfw.com, The NTSB investigators also confirmed that the qualified flying instructor was a woman, but they did not reveal her name.

“Our Pinnacle Equine family would like to extend our condolences to the Wallis family. Ty Wallis, DVM passed away on 3/25/22 in a tragic accident. He was a great friend to all of us. He will be truly missed. Please keep the Wallis family in your thoughts and prayers.”

Chad Chance and Clayton Boyd remembered their friend, who had a wide range of hobbies and a passion for people, on Sunday.

The ability of investigators to retain the tail boom – which split before the disaster – could be critical in a final report, according to Dallas-based aviation attorney Jon Kettles. Obituary unavailable at the moment, check back later.
