Talented Pilot, Veterinarian Lost in Helicopter Crash – Ty Wallis, 42, was one of two people killed in a helicopter crash in Rowlett on Sunday, according to his relatives. Wallis was a student pilot flying a Robinson R-44 model helicopter when it crashed into numerous pieces Friday afternoon, according to witnesses.
“Ty died doing something he truly loved and that was aviation,” Chance said. ”She (Kristen) believes that Ty’s death was his time and God’s time. And his day was Friday.”
According to nbcdfw.com, The NTSB investigators also confirmed that the qualified flying instructor was a woman, but they did not reveal her name.
