According to reports, Vincent died while Bullard and Nagel were transported to an area hospital for treatment. Reports claim that Vincent passed away from injuries sustained in the shooting incident.
How did the shooting happen?
On June 17, near N. 90th Street and Blair High Road, an incident involving a shooting resulted in Austin Petersen being taken into custody for the alleged use of a weapon to commit a felony. The incident occurred during a car show, where witnesses reported hearing several gunshots. Tragically, Tristan Vincent was among the four individuals who were struck by gunfire and, unfortunately, succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.
Authorities confirmed that three other individuals were also transported to the hospital. Teric Bullard and Treyvion Nagel have since been released after receiving medical attention. Court documents reveal that Petersen claimed he shot Vincent out of fear for his own life, stating that Vincent had grabbed his neck. Petersen further explained that he retrieved his firearm from his right pocket in response to the perceived threat.
Surveillance footage depicted Petersen drawing his firearm prior to the altercation with Vincent, who subsequently attacked him. Petersen himself sustained gunshot wounds and required hospitalization. His court appearance is scheduled for June 22.
