Tragic accident in Fresno County leaves man dead, according to CHP: The man’s death was caused by a car crash with a canal, according to authorities in Fresno County. The incident occurred on Thursday at approximately 2:45 a.m. on Russell Avenue at Althea Avenue, south of Dos Palos, as reported by the California Highway Patrol.
Eyewitnesses reported seeing the car go into the canal but no one coming out, so police were alerted. A water rescue team arrived and found the body of a man inside the wrecked car. He was pronounced dead at the spot.
No one knows who the 26-year-old Dos Palos resident is. The cause of the crash is presently being investigated.
