According to reports, firefighter Tony responded to 2 calls yesterday morning and later passed away at his home. It was reported that he suffered a heart attack. “The Sussex Fire Department regrets to announce the passing of Firefighter & life member Tony Duivenvoorde. Tony responded to 2 calls yesterday morning and later passed away at his home. Funeral services will be announced at a later time. Our thoughts & prayers are with his family.”
Who was Tony Duivenvoorde?
As a member of the Sussex Fire Department for many years, Tony was dedicated to serving his community. Throughout the years, many people had the honour of working side by side with him on multiple occasions. He was, without a doubt, a hardworking employee and an outstanding example of a gentleman. Tony was the epitome of what it is to be a wonderful person, and he served as a model to many.
He had a reassuring presence and was exceptionally kind; he warmed the hearts of a great number of people, and he served as an example to all those who were fortunate enough to know him. Tony’s friends admired him for his ability to be himself, which included displaying his hilarious and distinctive personality without inhibition. His pals said that he was the type of person who was always up for a good time and a good laugh.
The family will release an obituary and funeral arrangements for Tony Duivenvoorde.
