Tommy Lane Smith, Jr. Cause Of Death, Obituary Not Yet Available – Greenville County Sheriff’s Office investigators are on the scene, conducting a fatality investigation near Bryson Street and Gordon Street in Greenville.
According to Crime Stoppers of Greenville, Greenville County Communications received a 911 call about a gunshot victim at about 4:20 p.m. today. When deputies arrived on the scene, they discovered an adult male inside a vehicle who had been shot at least once.
Overnight, members of the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office F.A.S.I.T team, with the assistance of Spartanburg County Deputies, arrested 18-year-old Tijerrius Harris, along with two male juveniles, both 16 years of age, after they were located at a motel at 105 Jones Road in Spartanburg County.
Investigators believe that the victim, Tommy Smith, Jr., was shot after confronting the teenagers regarding a potential theft. Tommy was located inside of the vehicle he was reportedly driving and was subsequently pronounced deceased on the scene.
