After a Saturday night crash on North Miami Boulevard injured one pedestrian, another was murdered early Sunday morning on North Roxboro Street. Officials are investigating both collisions. Saturday at 9:06 p.m., An unknown car hit a guy crossing North Miami Blvd. at Raynor Street. Backing up, the vehicle fled after hitting a post. Timmy Wright Death, Durham Police Offer Reward For Hit And Run Crash :A North Carolina-registered dark blue Jeep Grand Cherokee or similar SUV is wanted by police. The vehicle’s front right corner, hood, back, and bumper may be damaged or missing. A northbound unknown car hit a guy in the 2400 block of North Roxboro Street around 5:03 a.m. on Sunday. Motorist fled. Timmy Wright passed away Sunday morning at 6:30am at Duke Hospital.
A witness suggested a light gray or light blue Chevy Sonic ran over the guy. Possible first impact: another vehicle hit the pedestrian. That vehicle is likely a 2014–2016 Lexus or Toyota sport sedan with driver side headlamp damage and a missing black front bumper hole plug.
