Thomas Hernandez Death – On Wednesday 10th August 2022, two Defiance, Ohio residents passed away following a fatal single-vehicle accident in Henry county near Florida. According to the Henry County Sheriff’s Office, which handled the investigation of the disaster, the two people who were killed in the collision were identified as Thomas Hernandez, 18, of 763 Harrison Ave., and his passenger, Elisha Phlipot, 42, of 27732 Bowman Road.

How did the accident happen?

According to the evidence that was found at the site, Hernandez was driving his car eastward on Road 424 when he lost control of a bend and slid off the right side of the road. At approximately 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, the vehicle came to a stop on the opposite side of the road and entered a yard at 15718 County Road 424. There, it collided with a spruce tree before colliding with a larger tree, as evidenced by tire marks.

The majority of the vehicle was wrapped around the enormous spruce tree, while the front half of the vehicle broke free and traveled across the yard for roughly 200 feet until colliding with a barn door, which caused damage to it and coming to rest. Both of the people who were inside the vehicle were found to be deceased at the scene, according to Henry County Sheriff Mike Bodenbender. According to what he said, Phlipot was expelled from the vehicle. Speed was considered to be a factor in the accident

The Florida-Flatrock Township Fire Department was there to lend a helping hand to the Napoleon Fire and EMS Department. As emergency personnel worked to clear the scene Wednesday evening, through traffic on Road 424 was rerouted around the area for a period of time. Bodenbender reported that the house located at the crash scene is currently empty and undergoing renovations. He said that the property owners were present at the time and that they reported hearing noise from the collision, including the sound of squealing tires.
