Theresa Renee Watson Death – , North Carolina Central University Alumna Theresa Renee Watson has died. She passed away on Wednesday 22nd March 2023 at the age of 27. She was announced dead by her father saying “Facebook Family, I am saddened to say that my daughter Theresa, made her transition tonight at 6:30”. The specific reason surrounding the actual cause of her death has not been known at the time this article was published.

Theresa Renee Watson Birth and Education

Theresa Reneé Watson entered the world on August 25th, 1995, in the District of Columbia. She received her Bachelor of Music degree from the University of the District of Columbia and her Master of Music degree from North Carolina Central University, making her an accomplished graduate of the Duke Ellington School of the Arts and both universities. Theresa attended North Carolina Central University for the first two years of her undergraduate education before moving to Howard University.

Theresa was encouraged to pursue membership in Sigma Alpha Iota by a number of women in the Lambda Omega Chapter while she was a student at NCCU. These ladies served as role models for Theresa. Theresa was a member of the Delta Nu Chapter at Howard University and was initiated during the 15th spring semester.

In addition to her duties as editor of the chapter’s newsletter, which she also edited, she acted as the chapter’s music director for events and performances, organized musical events, and kept a record of the chapter’s activities. While attending Howard University, Theresa was also a member of the Andrew Rankin Memorial Chapel Chorus, the SAASY Jazz Ensemble, and the Howard Gospel Choir. She was nominated for a Wammie Award twice and was a member of the Big Band at the University of the District of Columbia, where she also performed as a soloist.

Theresa will be remembered by many for her beautiful soul, genuine kindness, boundless energy, impressive talent, professional demeanor, and unwavering commitment to her family and friends. She was such a lively soul that was fun to be around.
