The Positively Milwaukee series creator and TMJ4 alum Bill Taylor passes away at the age of 79: Bill Taylor, who had been an anchor and reporter for TMJ4 for a long time and was also the creator of the popular show Positively Milwaukee, passed away at the age of 79 with his family following closely behind. Over the course of her nearly thirty years of service to TMJ4, Taylor was honored with a number of accolades, one of which was the Founders Award, which was presented at the very first Positively Milwaukee Awards banquet.
His many years of dedicated work were recognized by the National Academy of Arts and Sciences Chicago/Midwest chapter, which inducted him into the Silver Circle in recognition of his accomplishments. He was inducted into the Milwaukee Press Club’s hall of fame in 2001, which was yet another award conferred upon him by the organization. Taylor captivated the crowds in Milwaukee with stories from all around the world, and they were captivated by his performances. During his time in Germany, Israel, and Somalia, he served as the Wisconsin news specialist. During the course of his reporting expedition, he also visited the countries of Ghana and Kenya.
As of June 2001, he had resigned from his position.

He battled a number of health problems for a considerable amount of time before finally succumbing to pneumonia. There is a request for privacy from Taylor’s family, who are in mourning.
