The Lumberton street found body, was a life-sized mannequin

The body found along a street in the city of Lumberton was later determined to be a life-sized mannequin, as stated by the local law enforcement. An officer who was on patrol in the 3600 block of West 5th Street at 5 a.m. found what appeared to be a body in an advanced state of decomposition, according to the Lumberton Police Department. A team of evidence response specialists from the Federal Bureau of Investigation as well as detectives from the department arrived at the location in order to assist with the investigation. Also present were investigators from the department.

It was later discovered to be a mannequin that had been exposed to the outdoors for an extended period of time, as stated by the relevant authorities.

On Sunday, a guy working in Robeson County, North Carolina, came across the body of a woman in a canal. On Tuesday, the officials said that the victim had been killed by a gunshot to the head. A canal along Holly Swamp Church Road between Lumberton and Pembroke was where the body of a 23-year-old woman named Lauren Holmes was found submerged face down in approximately two feet of water. In Lumberton, Holmes makes his home in the 3600 block of North Carolina Route 711. Between Lumberton and Pembroke is where you’ll find the road known as Holly Swamp Church Road.

The findings of a medical examiner confirmed that Holmes had been shot late on Monday, as stated by Captain Anthony Thompson of the Robeson County Sheriff’s Office. According to Thompson, the detectives have not been able to determine the motivation for Holmes’s murder. According to Thompson, the dead body of Sherlock Holmes was found around ten feet away from the road.

According to Thompson, the complaint regarding her daughter’s abduction was filed on Saturday by her mother, Starr Hunt, who lived with Holmes. According to Thompson, the last time anyone saw Holmes was on Thursday night about 10:30 p.m. According to Thompson, on Friday, an unidentified assailant opened fire on the residence of Holmes, causing Hunt to sustain a gunshot wound to the arm. According to Thompson, there has not been any attempt to apprehend the suspects.
