The news of her death was shared on social media on Tuesday, April 25th, 2023, by her longtime friend in a publication that read “Heartbroken. It was a blessing that our busy lives crossed paths as often as it did. A school friend, then later, and what I cherish the most, my mom’s friend.”

Tara Janine Harlow was born on April 11, 1980, in Xenia, Ohio, to her beloved parents Larry and Sandy Simison. She was the middle child of Larry and Sandy Simison. Tara was married to the love of her life, Chad Harlow, in 2004 and had two beautiful and beloved children, Keegan and Kenna.
Tara grew up in Xenia, Ohio, and settled with her family in Beavercreek, Ohio. Tara was a devoted wife and mother who loved watching her children play sports. Tara was a graduate of Wright State University. After marriage, she worked as a full-time stay-at-home mom. She cared more about people and their well-being than anyone else. More importantly, she will give you his full attention and all the love and support you never knew you needed.

Tara thought it was most important to spend time with her kids and family. People knew her as someone who liked to have fun and whose energy could fill a room. Many people liked her because she was funny and had a great laugh. Her greatest joy was her two loving children.
She cared about people and was kind. There aren’t enough words to describe how much love, support, and joy she brought into her home. Tara was a loving sister to siblings Jim Simison and Kelly Ashworth. She enjoyed tending to her flowers, working out with her friends, loving her cats, and walking her dogs. Tara was surrounded by loving family and friends. She will be deeply missed by everyone that she touched. Tara was preceded in death by her husband, Chad Harlow.

Public visitation is to be held at Newcomer Funeral Home (3380 Dayton Xenia Rd) on Monday, May 1, 2023, from 9:30 am until the time of the funeral service at 11:30 am. Tara will be laid to rest next to her husband at Silvercreek Cemetery in Jamestown (the cemetery is located on the east side of Ohio State Route 72 about 0.3 miles north of its intersection with Ross Road).
