Tahlulay Henry Death – Two South Elgin High School students died and three others were injured in a deadly accident that happened in Bartlett Thursday morning. The students were identified as 16-year-old Tahlulay Henry of Elgin and 17-year-old Kamorra Campbell of Bartlett. According to reports, Tahlulay Henry and Kamorra Campbell passed away from injuries sustained following the crash.
The collision occurred around 7 a.m. on Thursday at the junction of IL Route 25 and Kenyon Road, involving a Mack semi-tractor trailer and a 2002 Honda Civic. Two female occupants of the Honda Civic were critically injured and urgently transported to a nearby hospital, as reported by authorities. Tragically, one of these individuals succumbed to her injuries at a later time.
The coroner’s preliminary findings attribute the cause of death for both victims to multiple injuries resulting from the motor vehicle collision. A fourth female passenger from the Honda Civic was taken to a nearby hospital with injuries that are not life-threatening, and her condition is currently stable, according to officials. Law enforcement continues to investigate the circumstances leading to the crash.
The family will release an obituary and funeral arrangements for Tahlulay Henry.

Sixteen-year-old Kyle Bartlett, hailing from Stoke-on-Trent, suffered severe injuries in the accident that took place on Weston Road on July 6th. Conversely, a 15-year-old boy who was also harmed in the same incident has been discharged from the hospital. The Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC) has initiated an investigation, as a police officer observed that one of the boys involved was not wearing a helmet.
Prior to the collision, police officers had been attending to a separate case in the vicinity of Weston Coyney Road. The IPCC is scrutinizing both the police response to this incident and any potential involvement in a vehicular pursuit. The watchdog has said it would be “investigating whether any vehicle pursuit took place, whether a police vehicle attempted to stop the motor scooter, and if so, whether appropriate policies were followed”.
Staffordshire Police said its thoughts were with his family and friends “at this very difficult time”.
