Actor Sylvester’s enjoys night with Ex-wife –
Sylvester Stallone and his wife Jennifer Flavin went on a date night in New York City on Thursday, looking quite happy together while rumors of their legal divorce circulated.
After just rekindling their romance, the “Rocky” actor and the former model appeared to be in excellent spirits, grinning and holding hands.
A few weeks after it was revealed the couple had decided to reconcile, the two were seen exiting The Polo Lounge in New York City on Thursday looking joyful than ever.
Last Monday, a Florida judge issued an order temporarily halting the divorce process to give the couple more time to come to an amicable agreement.
According to Page Six, the two formally filed a notice of voluntary dismissal in Palm Beach County, Florida, on Friday. According to a second informant, the couple “is together and quite happy.”
A spokesperson for Stallone did not immediately reply to a request for comment from Fox News Digital.
Sherene De Palma, partner of the New York-based business Hannon De Palma, exclusively revealed to Fox News Digital that the couple’s choice to call off the divorce can be based on a variety of various causes after learning of their reconciliation two weeks ago.
“People change their minds about getting divorced for all sorts of reasons,” De Palma said. “Some of the most common reasons I have seen over the last 20-plus years of representing high net worth individuals and public figures include preserving the couple’s image and not wanting to look bad to the public, colleagues, family members and friends.”
The order temporarily suspending their divorce signed two weeks ago stated, in part, “The Parties agree that it is in the best interests of each of them individually, and more importantly collectively as a family, to resolve all issues attendant to the dissolution of their marriage in a dignified, amicable, and private manner out-of-court … each party is satisfied that all immediate issues have been addressed to his and her mutual satisfaction in a separately executed stipulation.”
According to a People magazine article, Stallone and Flavin’s commitment to their families contributed to their decision to work together to find a solution. According to a second source, even if the couple still has some issues to resolve, it would have been too challenging to divide the assets they amassed together over the course of their 25-year marriage.
In her initial divorce petition, Flavin accused Stallone of mismanaging their money and claimed he had “intentionally dissipated, depleted, and/or wasted marital assets which has had an adverse economic impact on the marital estate.”
When news of the divorce broke, Stallone confirmed the split to Fox News Digital by saying, “I love my family. We are amicably and privately addressing these personal issues.”
Despite the fact that Flavin was seen without her wedding band following the filing, speculations of a reconciliation started to circulate when Stallone shared an old photo of himself with his wife, three daughters, and Flavin as well as one of them walking hand in hand. He included a plain white heart emoji as the photo’s description.
