Susan Gruver Death – Friends and family are mourning the unexpected passing of Susan Gruver, a dedicated and loving wife, and a mother that demonstrated that greatness could be achieved through hard work. Susan Gruver was announced dead on Wednesday, the 244th of May 2023. She died at the age of 51. There was no cause of death reported for Susan Gruver. Thoughts and prayers are with her friends and family during this difficult time.
Susan never missed an opportunity to be there for them or to capture the moment with a selfie. Not only was she an amazing wife and mother, but she was also a great friend to so many. Susan gave her gift of love and laughter to everyone. This gift will live on forever in the hearts of those who were dear to her.
Who was Susan Gruver?
She was born on Monday, December 27, 1971, in Barberton, Ohio to William and Sally (Hardgrove) Gruver. Sue’s son, Mason was the center of her world. They loved the Cleveland Indians. Her greatest pleasure was hearing the crack of the bat as Mason hit a home run. To those who knew Susan, you will always remember her contagious smile and infectious laugh. Susan loved and cared deeply for everyone who came into her life. Most importantly, she loved her family; they were her greatest joys.
Survived and preceded in death by
Susan was preceded in death by her grandparents, Tom and Mary Hardgrove and William and Doris Gruver. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her son, Mason Martina; sister, Kari (Robert) Mileski; and many other loving family and friends.
Thank you to an amazing circle of friends that have been with her throughout her illness. The visits to her home, the flowers sent, but most of all, the love they shared for Susan. A special thanks to Summa Barberton’s Oncology Unit and Hospice Care staff for the compassionate care given to Susan and her family. It’s our wish that every woman gets a mammogram every year.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, May 30, 2023, at Bacher-Moore Funeral Home, 3326 Manchester Rd., Akron, OH 44319 from 4 to 7 p.m., where a funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 31, 2023, at 11 a.m. Private interment will be at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
