Lynn Classical High School Stabbing Investigations – A teenage student has been critically injured following a stabbing incident at Lynn Classical High School in Lynn, Massachusetts. According to the office of Mayor Jared Nicholson, an incident that involved a student being stabbed occurred at Lynn Classical High School on Wednesday morning. The student was brought to Salem Hospital by the Lynn Fire Department with what are thought to be injuries that are not considered to be life-threatening.
“The school entered into a lockdown to ensure everyone’s safety. The Lynn Police Department has apprehended the suspect and is investigating the circumstances surrounding this extremely concerning incident,” a statement from the Mayor’s office said.“The School Department is in communication with the families of students at Classical. Our student’s safety is our top priority and violence on any level in our schools is unacceptable. We will work together to find out more about how this happened and prevent future occurrences,” the statement from the Mayor’s office said.
At approximately 10:30 in the morning, officers arrived at the school in response to the incident, as stated by Lieutenant Rick Connick of the Lynn Police Department. As of 11:15 in the morning, parents could be seen waiting in line at the school to collect their children. At this time, students have been allowed to go home with their parents as law enforcement agencies remain at the scene for investigations. The identity of the injured student or the suspect was not immediately disclosed by investigating police.
