Northgate High School Stabbing Investigating – Walnut Creek Police Department are investigating a stabbing incident at Northgate High School in Walnut Creek, California. Police were called to Northgate High School in Walnut Creek shortly after 1 p.m. today for a stabbing incident. Paramedics were directed to the school’s back entrance. The victim was found and taken to Children’s Hospital in Oakland. His or her status is unknown at this time, although authorities believe the student received serious injuries. There is no immediate threat to students on campus.
A stabbing occurred at Northgate High School early this afternoon. One student is being held by police, and the injured has been brought to a nearby hospital. Both pupils engaged were in 9th grade and knew each other. Police have arrived in Walnut Creek. There were no other pupils present. Counselors have arrived and will remain until tomorrow. Today, at around one o’clock in the afternoon, the Walnut Creek Police Department got a call from Northgate High School reporting that a student had assaulted another student and that the victim required medical assistance. The student who sustained the injury was taken to the nearby hospital. Officers and detectives from the West Chester Police Department are currently on the scene conducting an investigation. They have established that this was an isolated occurrence, and that there is no additional threat to the school’s staff or children.
The police have taken the suspect into custody at this time.
