This post is from my cousin, Shann Martin (Shannon Jensen). For those that new my cousin Stevie Heckendorf (Stevie Jensen), she passed away on Easter Day. We are all devastated by her loss. It’s been a rough few months for my family. Thank you to all of the people that have offered kind words and prayers for the loss of my sister, Stevie. She had a heart attack on Easter morning brought on by a blood clot to her lungs. She was very healthy and only 59. Life support allowed her sons and me to be by her side one more time.
She was an organ donor and because of this life support was not taken off until Thursday, April 13, 2023. Stevie was an amazing mom, grandma, sister, teacher, athlete, and friend. She was also a US Army Veteran. The staff and students at ET Booth Middle School miss her very much. Georgia was her home and she loved it there! Services will be at Woodstock Community Church in Woodstock, Georgia this Saturday. Stevie’s ashes will be placed in the family plot in Cody, Wyoming this summer. Again, thank you for all of the prayers and kind words. This is the second loss to our family in five months. Prayers are very important to our family.
ET Booth Middle School:
From everyone here at Booth, we would like to announce the April Teacher of the Month is Ms. Stevie Heckendorf. We miss her smile, her enthusiasm for teaching students, and her friendship to everyone at Booth. Here are a few things the staff wanted to share about Stevie: She was a ray of sunshine in a dark spot in my life. I will always think of her fondly and hope she is remembered. Unending positivity and enthusiasm. Love of teaching. Stevie was one of the very first people to welcome me to the E.T. Booth Family. She is someone I will remember as always smiling and for always having something positive or funny to share. Stevie never had a disparaging word to say about anyone. She was truly one of the most positive people I’ve ever known. We miss you Stevie
