Despite the fact that the San Antonio Police Department has not disclosed a great deal of information regarding the incident, it is probable that some of the individuals who entered the campus were students. The police have stated that there were no firearms involved in the incident, that the lockdown was a precaution, and that there was no actual threat to the school. According to these assertions, the lockdown was unnecessary.
