Steven Eatchel Cause Of Death, Obituary Unavailable Yet – Deputy Steven Eatchel of the Utah County Sheriff’s Office (UCSO) died in an off-duty plane crash while on a sightseeing trip on Saturday. Deputy Eatchel and his wife, Lindsay, his brother, Thomas, and his brother’s girlfriend, Danielle Deagostini, flew from Spanish Fork Municipal Airport to Cedar City to visit another of his brothers, according to KSL.
According to policetribune.com, the Iron County Sheriff’s Office, the group stayed just over an hour in Cedar City before returning to the air for a sightseeing trip to Zion National Park (ICSO).
In a Facebook post on Sunday, the Iron County Sheriff’s Office Search and Rescue (ICSSAR) stated it received an alarm at 7:38 p.m. on April 23 that a plane had crashed about five miles outside of town.
The UCSO noted in a press release that “Iron County Sheriff’s Office officials responded and reported that there were no survivors of the crash.” Twenty-two ICSSAR volunteers arrived on the scene to assist in the search for the four victims, who were all brought to the mortuary by 11 p.m.
