Two people, a man, and a woman, were killed in a shooting on Friday morning in the Northampton section of St. Louis. St. Louis Metropolitan Police said they were called to the 4900 block of Lindenwood Avenue at 8:15 a.m. on Friday after a woman was found shot in her apartment. The woman was already dead when emergency personnel arrived. A man’s body was also discovered there. According to 5 On Your Side News, investigating law enforcement official revealed that this is being treated as a possible murder-suicide.
According to the information provided, the son of the female victim discovered his mother and the man’s bodies and then dialed 911. The identities of both victims were withheld. The shooting investigation has been turned over to the St. Louis Police Department’s Homicide Division. During the late hours, officers from the Fort Worth Police Department responded to a shooting that occurred near the 3500 block of NW 27th Street. Officers found a male shooting victim with what appeared to be a gunshot wound to his torso when they arrived at the scene. The victim was sent to a local hospital for medical care; however, he did not survive his injuries and was subsequently pronounced dead when he arrived there.
The investigation led the detectives to discover that the establishment in question was hosting a large party at the time an altercation took place between the victim and the defendant. The suspect brandished a weapon and fired multiple bullets at the victim, who was hit at least once by one of those shots. The culprit managed to get away from the site before the police and emergency medical services arrived. According to the reports, this gathering appears to have been an after-prom party. The identification of the victim has not been made public by the Medical Examiner as of yet.
