Sonesta Hotel Shooting Today – On Wednesday, the 29th of March, 2023, multiple law enforcement agencies and emergency workers are responding to a shooting scenario in Memphis, Tennessee. Reports of shots being fired in the hotel lobby prompted the Memphis police department to send officers to the Sonesta ES Suites Memphis, which is located at 6141 Poplar Pike, according to the information provided by the Memphis police department.
It is not known at this time whether the incident resulted in any injuries or fatalities due to the lack of information. At the time that this article was published, there had been no reports of any arrests being made, nor had any descriptions of the gunman or suspect been made public. The argument that led to the murder of a teenager took place over the weekend inside of a hotel in Streeterville. According to the police, the incident began when individuals who had been admitted into the hotel through a side door began firing at each other. According to the Chief of Detectives Brendan Deenihan, a group of women had hired a room at the Sonesta ES Suites located at 201 E. Walton Pl., and they had opened an emergency door to allow a number of men to enter the room early on the morning of May 1, 2022.
He stated that there was a confrontation and that shots were fired back and forth. At approximately 5 in the morning, officers were dispatched to the hotel where they discovered a wounded 18-year-old man on the second floor. According to Deenihan, a firearm was found lying close to the suspect. The office of the medical examiner in Cook County gave the man’s name as Kejuan Carter when they announced his identity.
Gary, Indiana was his home at the time. According to the police, the teenager was pronounced dead after being brought to Northwestern Memorial Hospital. Deenihan said that no one had been taken into custody, but that police were following the automobile that had been used by the shooter. The identity of the victim has not yet been made public.
