The sad story that led to the death of a man who was defending his friend from a gunman. According to News4Anatonio, a woman stepped out of a bar and found out that her car has been towed. She then proceeded in calling a friend for assistance. Before the friend arrived, a man walked up to her and made advances towards her.
The woman was reported to have refused the man’s advances which made the man angry. The man went to his car, brought a gun and opened fire. It was at this point that the friend whom the woman had earlier called when she found out her car has been towed arrived.
The woman’s friend reportedly attempted to rush to the suspect, who then fired additional shots, hitting two men.
The deadly shooting happened just after 2 a.m. outside a sports bar off N. St. Mary’s Street near E. Woodlawn
Both were taken to the hospital where one victim was pronounced dead.
