Shooting In Flagstaff Today; Active Shooter At Bushmaster Park In Arizona, Police Reports: The individual who opened fire on Wednesday morning in the vicinity of Bushmaster Park in Flagstaff is the subject of the search by the Flagstaff Police Department. At approximately 11:15 in the morning, officials said they received a report of shots being fired.
According to witnesses, the man was firing a handgun at persons in the area. There have been no reports of physical harm. A man “came up and asked for a cigarette, then threatened to shoot the park up,” according to a witness who spoke to the police police. A Native American man in his 20s or 30s who is described as being thin and wearing all black and potentially having a tattoo on his arms is the person who is being thought to be responsible for the crime.
The search, which is concentrating on the regions to the north and west of the park, is being assisted by a helicopter from the Department of Public Safety. Both Flagstaff and Coconino high schools, as well as Sinagua, MEMS, Puente de Hozho, and Summit, have been released from their confinement; however, other schools continue to remain in their shelters.
