The popular St. Meinrad, Indiana woman was diagnosed with breast cancer and was pronounced dead after a long battle with the illness. In 2022 on February 14th, Farina re-posted a 2017 Facebook remembrance post. Just three weeks before she turned 26, Shawna Farina was hit with life-altering news.
Farina’s diagnosis of breast cancer was verified by medical professionals. After months of treatment and years of rehabilitation, Shawna has won her battle with cancer. Shawna’s determination to get better from her illness has returned. Her family consists of her husband Steve and their three children Larch, Moss, and Brian. They all reside in Saint Meinrad, Indiana. The Mother of Shawna Farina Also Suffering From Breast Cancer While still a young girl, Shawna Farina watched her mother fight breast cancer.
In 2006, Shawna participated in Relay for Life, a community-based fundraising event for the American Cancer Society, and raised almost $449,000. Sadly, She watched her mother fight a hard struggle when she was little. No longer living is her mother, whose identity was never revealed. Since Farina felt compelled to take action, she joined the Relay for Life committee in her hometown of St. Meinrad, Indiana. Shawna Farina has worked extensively with the American Cancer Society and has led and organized a number of “Relay for Life” events.
