Shawn Andy Maxwell Death – Shawn Andy Maxwell, age 41, of Redford has been identified as the victim of an alleged homicide that occurred in Vassar Township on Wednesday night (March 1, 2023). The incident is being investigated by the Caro Post of the Michigan State Police. During an argument with another man, which took place inside a residence located in the 4,000 block of Kirk Road, state troopers said he was shot numerous times inside the home. Wednesday night about 11 o’clock, the incident took place (March 1, 2023). The culprit was nowhere to be found when the police arrived at the location.
Suspect identified
A person of interest, identified as 41-year-old Stephen Evans of Columbiaville, was arrested late the following day by Vassar Police, who then turned him over to troopers. This was the result of cooperative efforts and investigation involving multiple M-S-P assets, local law enforcement partners, and information from the community. Mark Reene, the prosecutor for Tuscola County, is currently reviewing the investigation reports before deciding whether or not to file any criminal charges. The inquiry was assisted by the Special Investigation Section of the Michigan State Police, the Emergence Support Team, the Canine Teams, M-SP Aviation, the Bridgeport Crime Lab, and the Vassar Police Department.

Charlie Samuel, a Black Los Angeles man, was arrested for Lily Burk’s murder on July 26, 2009, at 7:15 p.m. Latent prints from Burk’s automobile proved Samuel’s presence Sunday afternoon. They found Samuel in captivity. Investigators suspect Burk met Samuel at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, July 24, 2009, at Wilshire Boulevard and Wilshire Place. Burk then tried various ATMs in downtown Los Angeles with Samuel. Burk called both her parents to inquire how to use her credit card at an ATM after multiple failed attempts. Her father told her her ATM card was invalid. Burk then arranged with her father to pick up an undefined sum of money from their home. She never returned.
Within two hours following that phone call, Samuel drove Burk’s car to 458 South Alameda Street, left it with Burk’s body inside, and left. Thirty minutes later, Metropolitan Division, Mounted Unit Officers Miguel Dominguez and Gary Copeland arrested Samuel for public intoxication on 3rd Street and Los Angeles Street. Samuel’s detention and search revealed drugs paraphernalia. Samuel was booked for Drugs Paraphernalia. Samuel is directly implicated by evidence. Investigators anticipate to find further evidence. Probably robbery. Samuel was in Los Angeles to finish a parole program for his past offences. Los Angeles: In the early morning hours of July 25, 2009, the LAPD got a call about a young woman’s body in a parked automobile near Skid Row in downtown Los Angeles.
A young woman’s body was found in a black Volvo near 5th and Alameda around 6:15 am by Central Area LAPD officers. After an hour, she called both parents to ask how to use her credit card at an ATM. Her parents reported her missing at 7 pm Friday. Officers reported her missing at her parents’ home.
