KCK homicide – The results of an autopsy have led to the opening of a murder investigation in Kansas City, Kansas. The Kansas City, Kansas Police Department now has reason to think that a body discovered on September 15th, 2022 was the result of criminal activity. The name of the person whose body was discovered in a forested area in the 4200 block of Kaw Drive was made public by the police on Monday. The body of Ottoniel Agustin-Chavez, who was 41 years old and a resident of Kansas City, Missouri, was discovered by a person who was wandering in the neighborhood.

According to the findings of the autopsy on Agustin-Chavez, the case is being examined as a possible murder. The KCKPD Major Case Unit is currently looking into this incident as part of its inquiry. A call was received on October 3 by the Labette County Sheriff’s Office, and they responded. Around 8:30 in the morning, someone was looking for their companions and came across the dead of two people. When the police arrived, they discovered the rotting bodies of both a male and a female. Both had been killed. Today, the identities of the suspects were made public by the Kansas Bureau of Investigations. The victims have been identified as Mound Valley residents Leanda R. Pound, 43, and Jason M. Bakken, 39, both of whom are also from Mound Valley.
Autopsies conducted by the KBI came to the conclusion that both victims had died as a result of gunshot wounds. The investigations are currently being looked at as possible killings by the authorities.
