Senior from Dunlap High School dies in crash in Peoria: The Peoria County coroner has reported that a collision that took place in Peoria during the nighttime hours resulted in the death of a senior student from Dunlap High School when it occurred. A collision involving two automobiles took place on Orange Prairie Road adjacent to the Louisville Slugger Complex at eleven thirty-nine minutes past the hour on Saturday, according to a press statement issued by the coroner, Jamie Harwood.
The statement revealed that the collision occurred on Orange Prairie Road. As stated by Harwood, an accident took place in the northbound lanes between a vehicle heading in the southern direction and a car that was traveling on the northbound side. Nevaeh Mitchell, who is 18 years old and hails from Princeville, became involved in the collision.
At twelve twenty-seven minutes past midnight on Sunday, Mitchell was pronounced dead at the scene, as stated in the news report that was issued by the coroner. In response to a question regarding the investigation, Harwood indicated that the Peoria Police Department is continuing to investigate the particular case.
The day of the week that has been set aside for the autopsy is Tuesday.
