Death: Sean Toomey Shot In Wissinoming Shooting – After being shot in Wissinoming on Thursday night, a 15-year-old boy is on life support. That boy’s father was interviewed by Eyewitness News.
As you might expect, the father of the 15-year-old is upset. He claims that his son is unlikely to survive after being shot in front of his home.
According to hiladelphia.cbslocal.com, Around 9 p.m. Thursday, gunshots rang out in front of the family’s rowhouse on Mulberry and Devereaux Streets. An attempted automobile break-in at an apartment building across the street appears to have prompted the gunfire.
The tenant, who did not want to be identified, claims that she and her 2-year-old son were in a car when two men approached her and began pushing at her car doors as she was coming into a parking spot.
When the suspects realized her car was locked, they fled, but when the victim summoned her boyfriend, he caught one of the suspects escaping.
Sean was hit while retrieving a case of water from the back seat of the family’s car, according to Toomey. The suspects fled, leaving the family bereft of a talented adolescent whose life was cut short far too soon. No arrests have been made, according to the police.
