What happened to Scott Akester?

After getting into an argument with Scott Akester outside of a bar in Hull while he was intoxicated, the man who struck him in the face with a single punch and caused his death was found guilty of his manslaughter. Detective Chief Inspector Al Curtis stated that “Scott’s death was utterly needless and as a result of Pearson’s mindless actions with no regard for the consequences. A single punch has caused a devastating impact, resulting in a man losing his life and a family left without their loved one.”

Hull murder incident

Pearson and Scott were familiar with one another and had been drinking with pals in the north Hull neighborhood of Sutton Park before entering the Grandale pub on Sutton Park. A brief argument broke out between the two of them, but it was immediately diffused by their mutual acquaintances present at the scene.

They continued their walk back to their house approximately 20 minutes later, accompanied by other companions, in the hopes of hailing a taxi. As Scott continued to go ahead of him, Pearson suddenly turned around, walked up to Scott, and hit him in the face. After that, Scott went to fall backwards and ended up hitting his head on the ground. Although emergency services were called and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) was started in an effort to save Scott’s life, he succumbed to his injuries and passed away at the hospital on November 19th.

On Thursday, the 29th of June, Pearson is scheduled to be sentenced. Condolences are been sent to the family members of Scott Akester who passed away after Kingston upon Hull argument.
